Shannon Eaton is an experienced writer and editor and long-time mental health advocate. She is a former technical writer for the Texas Office of the Attorney General. She was the first editor and desktop publisher of two academic journals, Texas Books in Review and Southwest American Literature, published by The Center for the Study of the Southwest at Texas State University. Since leaving the Attorney General’s Office to raise her family, she has dedicated her time to tutoring, assisting in classrooms, serving at local food pantries, volunteering as an ACGC Board Member, and advocating for access to mental health services. She brings a lived experience of the many challenges facing families seeking treatment for mental health care and is passionate about sharing the resources provided by ACGC with the wider community.
