Mia Livingston, LMFT-A

Mia Livingston joined ACGC in May 2025, helping provide therapeutic services and mental health consultations to child development centers as well as supporting the social-emotional development of children ages 0–5. Her role includes a wide variety of services such as programmatic therapeutic interventions, conducting child and classroom observations, coaching childcare staff, and leading parent workshops.

Before joining ACGC, Mia held a dual role as Therapist and Supervisor at The Settlement Home for Children, where she provided trauma-informed therapy and case management to youth ages 11-17 in residential care, and supervised a team of 7 direct care staff. She completed her clinical internship at the Irving Family Advocacy Center where Mia delivered outpatient psychotherapy to a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and children. She co-led group therapy sessions focused on parenting, trauma psychoeducation, and coping skills, while also conducting diagnostic assessments and treatment planning. Mia also served as a Graduate Assistant at Texas Woman’s University’s Counseling & Family Therapy Clinic, where she trained new staff, conducted client intakes, and ensured compliance through detailed file audits of over 100 client profiles.

Mia holds a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin, where she also earned a Certificate in Business Spanish and graduated with High Honors. Additionally, in her free time, Mia enjoys hiking, reading classic novel, sewing, and playing guitar. Her dedication to holistic, culturally responsive care and her leadership in clinical settings make her a trusted advocate for mental health and familial well-being.

She has a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.
