Austin Child Guidance Center (ACGC) offers special programing and services to help children and families who need our services access the care they need and deserve.
Free Support for Families Impacted by Central Texas Floods
At ACGC, we are offering FREE 1-2 trauma-informed therapy sessions to children and families impacted by the Central Texas floods. Our trained therapists are here to help children process trauma, reduce anxiety, and begin to heal.
Our in-person and teletherapy services are available in English and Spanish. If your family has been affected and you need support, call us at 512-451-2242 and mention “flood impact” to learn more about our free services.
No matter how much time has passed since the flooding, our services are here for you when you need them.
Free Therapy Services for Survivors of Crime
At ACGC, we are committed to supporting children and families affected by crime, offering free individual and family therapy for children who have experienced crime-related trauma. Our goal is to support your family’s healing journey with compassion and care.
Who We Help
Free therapy is available for survivors of many types of crimes, including, but not limited to:
- Abandonment or Neglect
- Arson
- Bullying
- Domestic violence
- Exploitation
- Hate or Bias crime or trauma
- Home invasion
- Homicide survivor
- Kidnapping
- Physical or Sexual assault
- Robbery
- Stalking
- Survivor of suicide loss
- Terroristic threat
- Trafficking
- Trauma related to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or Driving Under the Influence (DUI) incidents

In addition to therapy, we can help you identify and prioritize your needs through a needs assessment. Once the needs assessment is complete, staff will help connect you with local resources to support your family. This might include help with:

- Texas Crime Victims' Compensation Program: The Texas Crime Victims’ Compensation Program provides financial support to innocent crime victims for their out-of-pocket losses resulting from the crime.
- Victim Services | AustinTexas.gov: Victim Assistance Programs are available to help connect you with the necessary resources and support services.
Funding for these services is generously provided by the Texas Offices of the Governor and the Attorney General, as well as Travis County. Availability of free services depends on grant funding.
Free Therapy for Rundberg Community Families
ACGC offers free therapy to children and their families who live, work, or attend school in the Rundberg area of Austin, Texas. Services are available in person at our offices or online. Eligibility requirements and supporting documents apply.
