Leah Piassick, MAHS

Leah Piassick, MAHS

Leah joined ACGC in February 2021, and is responsible for leading ACGC's public and private grants program, as well as overseeing program data and reporting. With over 31 years of experience in Central Texas non-profits, she has worked in roles ranging from providing direct services to executive-level leadership and board service. Her connection with ACGC began in the mid-1990s when she worked as a case manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters. She later utilized ACGC's services for her own child, which sparked her passion for ACGC's mission.

Leah launched her grant writing career at The Wright House Wellness Center, where she dedicated over 17 years. After serving as executive director for eight years, she sought new challenges and joined Vivent Health (formerly AIDS Services of Austin). There, she worked as the Director of Grant Resources for an additional four and a half years, leveraging her connections with public and private funders to enhance support for HIV services in Central Texas. Leah holds a Master of Human Services in Counseling from St. Edward's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of Denver. Leah currently lives in Dallas but resided in Austin from 1993 to 2021. She has one child, three dogs, and two cats.
