Dr. Unni, PhD
Dr. Unni (she/her) is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology who provides psychological evaluations, therapy, and consultation services for children and young adults. She received her Masters in Educational Psychology and Doctorate in School Psychology from Texas A&M University. Dr. Unni completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium, and her postdoctoral training was completed right here at Austin Child Guidance Center. She has provided services in a variety of settings, including schools, community mental health clinics, university clinics, private practice, and within the juvenile justice system.
As a testing psychologist at ACGC, Dr. Unni enjoys providing individuals with comprehensive, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming evaluations. She works hard to walk alongside her clients to ensure they feel seen, valued, and heard throughout the evaluation process, and she enjoys being able to to help them understand their unique strengths and paths for growth with the help of evidence-based measures. Dr. Unni is also passionate about advocating for underserved populations and helping them navigate oppressive systems at play. She hopes to provide a safe space for individuals from all backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and experiences.
In her free time, Dr. Unni enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking with her dog Nori, learning to play the piano, and engaging in advocacy and mutual aid in the community.
