Sarah Freymann Fontenot, BSN, JD, is a lawyer and a nurse and is in her 26th year as the adjunct professor of health law at Trinity University in the Department of Health Care Administration. She also teaches seminars on health law to physicians and hospital administrators across the country. Sarah currently serves on the Board for the Needs Council in Fredericksburg (where she lives with her husband Michael) and the Committee on Governance for the American Hospital Association. From 2012 to 2021, Sarah served on the Board of Directors for Peterson Health in Kerrville and continues to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Peterson Rural Health Clinic. Sarah is active in the election process in Gillespie County, the League of Women Voters, and Leadership Women (the strongest and longest women’s leadership organization in the United States).
