Volunteer's Sign Up - Play Leader
For the volunteer play leader position, you will be playing and working with kids ages 2-17, while they are waiting to go into their session or while their parents are meeting with the therapist.
- You must be at least 18 above and out of high school.
- You must commit for the whole semester or 3 months for at least one 2 hour shift on a fixed schedule during our business hours which are Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Fri 8am-6pm.
- You must go through Trauma Informed Care online training, once you have completed the training, please print off your certificate of completion and turn it in to the Play Leader Coordinator.
- Download, fill out and send Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement, Consent for Criminal Background History Check form and Safety & Environment Procedures to volunteer@austinchildguidance.org. And then we will schedule an orientation session which usually takes place at the beginning of each semester and lasts about one hour. The background check will be ran at the time of orientation.
