 ur valued investors and community supporters to share in the vision for AC
 GC’s future.\n\nOur luncheon is on Friday\, September 26th\, 2025 from 11:
 30 AM to 1:00 PM.\n\nAs we approach our 75th anniversary in 2026\, we invi
 te you to be part of the conversation shaping the next chapter of ACGC. Ou
 r mission remains steadfast: to provide accessible\, high quality mental h
 ealth services to children and their families to empower them to thrive in
  childhood and beyond. At ACGC\, we envision a world where every family’s 
 mental health needs are seen and met. In light of the Central Texas floods
  and the fear and trauma felt in our community\, especially by our Spanish
 -speaking youth\, your support plays a vital role in making this vision a

 dance.org or 512-949-5126.\n\nGuest speaker\, Carla Valvidia\, LCSW\, one 
 of ACGC's Child and Family Therapists\, will highlight ACGC therapists’ tr
 aining and dedication to trauma-informed care\, helping children and famil
 ies determine the best path towards healing.\n\nCarla Valvidia joined ACGC
  in June 2025. With a Master’s degree in social work from Texas State Univ
 ersity\, she is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experienc
 e working with children\, adults\, and families across a range of settings
 . Carla is passionate about making quality mental health care accessible t
 o underserved communities and her goal as a therapist is to create a safe 
 and supportive space where healing and growth can take root.\n\nIn her fre
 e time\, Carla enjoys working out\, being outdoors\, hiking\, cycling\, or
  playing the steel drum! Yoga is also one of her favorite activities. She 
 also loves traveling and learning about different cultures and trying diff
 erent foods.\n\nCarla has experience helping kids (and their families)with
  attention deficient or hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)\, anxiety\, attachme
 nt issues\, depression\, trauma\, \, developmental trauma\, and parenting 
 challenges.\n\nCarla brings a person-centered\, strength's-based and holis
 tic approach to therapy. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care and 
 integrates both bottom-up and top-down methods. This includes somatic\, mo
 vement\, sensory-based and experiential interventions alongside cognitive 
 approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoeducation. She i
 s trained in a wide range of approaches\, including: Cognitive Behavioral 
 Therapy\, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention\, Parent-Child In
 teraction Therapy\, Play Therapy\, Trust-Based Relational Intervention\, T
 rauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy\, Trauma and Grief Component Th
 erapy for Adolescents\, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing 
 (EMDR). Carla pays particular attention to the mind-body connection and ta
 ilors interventions to meet the unique needs and developmental stages of e
 ach client. Her areas of interest include attachment and developmental tra
 uma's impact on the brain. In fact\, Carla is Phase 1 certified in Neurose
 quential Model of Therapeutics (NMT).
