Callers seeking services will speak with the Intake Specialist for scheduling purposes. If the Intake Specialist determines that ACGC services are appropriate for your family’s needs, then she/he will provide available appointment dates and times for the first therapy appointment, called an Initial Evaluation. If there are not any appointment availabilities, or if you are unable to attend the proposed appointments, the Intake Specialist will ask you to call back the following week to check for new availability. Due to high demand, ACGC does not keep a waitlist for therapy services. After the Initial Evaluation appointment, all future appointments will be coordinated through your therapist.
Scheduling Psychological Assessment
If the Intake Specialist determines that ACGC services are appropriate for your family’s needs, he/she will provide you with required paperwork instructions. In order to be placed on ACGC’s Psychological Assessment waitlist, all required client paperwork must first be submitted to the Intake Specialist. Once ACGC receives all required paperwork, a representative of ACGC will contact you to schedule an Initial Evaluation appointment, the Assessment appointment(s) and the Feedback appointment.
Scheduling Psychiatric Services
ACGC offers psychiatric services for all clients actively enrolled in therapy services. Psychiatric appointments can be scheduled by calling the front desk at 512-451-2242. Due to limited psychiatric coverage, ACGC does not always have a physician available to immediately authorize medication refills. To prevent any lapse in medication, please call to request a refill two weeks in advance of running out of medication. Additionally, please be aware that some prescription refills require a medical consultation with our physician, and appointment availability can be limited.
ACGC offers a Walk-In Clinic on Fridays from 2 PM – 4 PM. No appointment is necessary for Walk-In services.
Your commitment to consistent attendance strongly impacts therapeutic outcomes for your child. Please be on time for all appointments. If you cannot keep an appointment, we require that you call ACGC at 512-451-2242 to cancel. When possible, clients are required to provide 24-hour advance cancelation notice. The only exception to the 24-hour requirement is when a child is ill or contagious. Failure to keep appointments may result in termination of treatment.
