Free Services Available for Victims or Witnesses of Crime or Abuse

The Criminal Justice Division awards funding to ACGC to provide psychological assessments, as well as therapy, to children who have been exposed to or are victims of crime.  These ACGC services are provided free of charge, and the grant specifically targets Spanish-speaking and bilingual families.  This means that children who have been exposed to traumatic events (e.g., domestic violence, assault, abuse, neglect) can participate in a thorough and collaborative assessment, free of charge, which is then used to create an individualized treatment plan for the child and family.

The families with a child in weekly therapy at ACGC also receive free case management services to connect them with relevant resources in the community. This includes referrals such as securing health insurance or a primary care provider, rent/utility assistance, employment resources, or legal assistance.

If you or someone you know is interested in receiving these services, wondering if you qualify, or want more information about the program, please reach out to us:
