Talking to Teens About Race & Racism: Middle School - High School

Thursday, August 13, 2020
5:30 pm7:00 pm
Video Conference

Talking to your kids about difficult topics is tough in the best of circumstances. Now, in the midst of a global pandemic, social isolation, and economic uncertainty addressing racism and injustice can be even more challenging.

Austin Child Guidance Center is offering a FREE 90-minute panel discussion to help parents and caregivers engage in an on-going dialogue about race and racism.

This is our 3rd discussion in the series and will focus on middle school to high school youth. For this discussion, we are inviting middle school and high school students to participate. Panelists from ACGC will be joined by local experts to discuss the impact of facing racism in school, society, and life on a child’s mental health. View HERE the recording of previous panel discussions.

When: August 13th
Time: Thursday 5:30 to 7:00 PM CST
