Talking to Kids About Race & Racism: The Elementary Years
Talking to your kids about difficult topics is tough in the best of circumstances. Now, in the midst of a global pandemic, social isolation, and economic uncertainty, addressing racism and injustice can be even more challenging.
Austin Child Guidance Center is offering a FREE 90-minute panel discussion to help parents and caregivers engage in an on-going dialogue about race and racism.
Panelists from ACGC will be joined by local experts to discuss the impact of facing racism in school, society, and life on a child’s mental health.
This is our 2nd discussion in the series and will focus on elementary aged children. View the recording of our first discussion on June 11th.
When: July 9th
Time: Thursday 5:30 to 7:00 PM CST
Where: Video Conference, meeting link will be provided upon registration.
Cost: Free and donations to ACGC are welcome
