Ecotherapy: Integrating Mother Nature to Promote Healing in Traumatized Children & Adolescents

Ecotherapy is an umbrella term for a whole variety of nature-based therapies which utilize an experiential connection with nature as a part of the therapeutic process. Ecotherapy acknowledges the vital role of nature & addresses the human-nature relationship, combining the latest scientific understandings with indigenous wisdom. In this brief workshop, we will cover relevant research in support of utilizing the outdoors as a therapeutic tool for children & adolescents as well as discuss/practice ways to integrate ecotherapy into current therapeutic practice.
