Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral  Therapy (TF-CBT) is one of the most innovative and research supported treatments for trauma-related issues with children.  In fact, multiple studies have shown that TF-CBT is superior to other treatments to  address  Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, shame, and behavior problems in children.  Participants will learn the specifics of the TF-CBT model as well as how to best address challenging cases or situations.

Dr. Laura Murray is a clinical psychologist and an Assistant Scientist at Johns Hopkins University.  She specializes in trauma-focused clinical work, trauma and disaster-related training and supervision, and served in the clinical directorship of a large post 9/11 mental health study in New York City. She is also a national and international trainer of TF-CBT and has conducted over 50 trainings.
