The Austin Child Guidance Center is celebrating our 60th Anniversary of serving the children, youth, adolescents, and family members of Central Texas. 

On Saturday, July 30th from 10 am – 1 pm, we will be hosting the community for an Open House at our center at 810 W. 45th Street.

Austin Child Guidance Center is now accepting resumes for a full-time (40 hours/week) therapist to see insurance/Medicaid/Chip clients.  Applicants must be licensed to practice independently (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Ph.D.).  Applicants must have experience providing individual/family/group therapy to children and families; ability to work a flexible schedule including two to three evenings a week; knowledge of evidence-based treatments; ability to multi-task, problem-solve, collaborate and work in a progressive and changing environment.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking preferred, but not required. Executive Director Russell Smith, LMSW attended the check presentation ceremony on April 20th and was honored to accept a $1,500 donation from Grande Communication’s “Passion and Commitment” Club.  These grants are reviewed by and approved by employees of Grande. 

Austin Child Guidance Center is now accepting resumes for a part-time (20 hours/week) Master’s level Therapist/Specialist for our Infant Early Childhood (IEC) Mental Health Project.  Applicants must have experience providing individual/family/group therapy to children (0-5) and families.  In addition, the position, which is supervised by the IEC Coordinator, will provide consultation services to staff at identified childcare centers that serve low income families. This position requires local travel with paid mileage; knowledge of evidence-based treatments; ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work in a changing environment.  The salary is $17k – $20k/year.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, as is experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of childcare, child development, and Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health.
